Yes, that's right. Obviously it is the MIN (TN) and MAX (TX) temperatures
forecast, together with the times expected. These are *locally* agreed
abbreviations!

And Mahon is actually MAO.

and my car is prefixed PM or IB.

And they count up to 10 in French and then into Spanish.

That's because if you fly a jet, all that bothers you is the wind :)
Vis is an issue only if below 75m or so? You can land below that; you
just can't taxi to the gate.

TX and TN are actually not local abbreviations. They're part of the WMO TAF
format ("Form 51"), just not used in the UK. They are used regularly in,
e.g. France too:

TN13/03Z=

Oh, right. Thanks for that. In my copy of the Jepp mnual it states "local",
but to Americans I guess anywhere in Europe IS local! (And they're probably
right)
