Odd sighting

Hi guys, was wondering if anyone could help out with what i've just seen

I'm in Daventry, and have just seen a rather large plane go past with two
escort planes, one quite close to the north side and one a bit further away
to the south, and on the same heading towards the Birmingham direction. Then
about five minutes later a chopper went past on the same heading, going
quite a bit faster.

Does anyone have any ideas what it all was?

If you're British (or Australian or Canadian...), that may have been
your (royal) head of state (she is formal head of state, isn't she?).
